Hotel & Motel Service Training Program

MISSION

This vocational program will prepare students for entry-level employment in a variety of hotel/motel service positions.  Individuals who enroll in this course will receive work experience in a simulated hotel classroom.  As a result of this, students will have the opportunity to perform tasks as if they truly were” on the-job.” Students will learn how to properly clean and prepare a guest room and how to distribute and stock a linen room.  Students enrolled in the Hotel Services Program will learn the importance of honesty when handling others’ belongings, the responsibility of having a passkey and the importance of professionalism in dealing with guests.

ADDMISSION QUALIFICATIONS

Lifting ten (10) pounds frequently and fifty (50) to one hundred (100) pounds occasionally, walking, standing, stooping, climbing, bending, pushing, and pulling are required.  The students must be free of work restrictions prohibiting the use of hazardous materials and equipment.  The students must successfully pass a criminal background check.  The students must read the names of household cleaning items, spell guests’ names correctly, and measure chemical solutions.
