Directions to Paintsville, Kentucky
ASHLAND TO PAINTSVILLE
Take Route 23 South. After passing the 9 mile marker there is a CITGO station on the right. Approximately ¾ mile from the 9-mile marker there is a sign “Paintsville-Route 321” with a left turn lane. You will now be going south on Route 321. After approximately 1 mile, Route 321 will intersect with Route 460, and Route 40 at a four way intersection with a traffic light. At the intersection, get in the left turn lane. After the turn, you will be on Route 40 and this road will take you toward Paintsville and the Perkins Center.
LEXINGTON TO PAINTSVILLE
When leaving Lexington on I 64 and after passing the Winchester exits, there is a sign designating the Mountain Parkway. Take a right turn onto the Mountain Parkway and stay on the Parkway until you come to a traffic light on the outskirts of Salyersville. Proceed straight thru the light. Approximately 2 miles past the traffic light (after passing a number of convenience stores and fast food restaurants) you will see caution lights and a sign for Paintsville and Route 460. Turn left onto Route 460. Route 460 will take you east toward Paintsville. After approximately 15 miles, you will come to a traffic light. Proceed straight for approximately 1 mile. There will a traffic light at a four-way intersection with Routes 321, Route 460, and Route 40 (Shoney’s restaurant, the Johnson County Detention Center, and the Johnson County Courthouse can be seen on your right as you approach the intersection). Proceed straight through the intersection. You will be on Route 40 and this road will take you toward Paintsville and the Perkins Center.
HAZARD TO PAINTSVILLE
Take Route 80 North to Route 23 intersection. Take Route 23 North to Paintsville. Proceed on 23 North until the exit sign for Paintsville. The exit will lead you to a traffic light at the base of the ramp. Turn right at the traffic light. Proceed for approximately 1 mile. There will be a traffic light at a four way intersection with Routes 321, Route 460, and Route 40. Proceed straight through the intersection. You will be on Route 40 and this road will take you toward Paintsville and the Perkins Center.
