MISSION Students will acquire skills and knowledge necessary for employment in the education field. The course outline includes planning a safe and healthy learning environment, steps to advance children’s physical and intellectual development, positive ways to support children’s social and emotional development, strategies to establish positive and productive relationships with families, ensuring a well-run purposeful program, and maintaining a commitment to professionalism. ADMISSION QUALIFICATIONS A TB skin test, criminal background check must be completed on all students who enroll in the program. Additional testing and/or situational assessments may be necessary to determine if the student will be enrolled in this program. The student is informed of this process and provides written permission. Prolonged walking, standing, stooping, and bending are required. Climbing, balancing, lifting and carrying (50lbs frequently, 100lbs occasionally) may also be required. |
